POS software for butcheries and bakeries
Scan a weight barcode and sell by the kilo, close the shift with a reconciled cash count, and track daily production and wastage.
A butchery weighs every cut on the scale and sells by the kilo. A bakery produces a batch of bread each morning and tracks what sells versus what is wasted. Neither a basic till nor a supermarket POS is built for this — most require a price per unit, not a weight.
Everything butcheries and bakeries need, in one system.
Weighing-scale barcodes
Print a barcode from your scale that includes the item and weight. Scan it at the till — the price is calculated automatically, no manual entry.
Sell by piece and by weight
Some items are sold by the kilo (beef, minced meat), others by the piece (sausages, bread rolls). The system handles both from one till.
Shift cash reconciliation
When the cashier closes the register, the closing screen shows the expected totals for the shift next to what was counted, so differences are easy to spot.
Wastage write-offs
Record spoiled or unsold items as a stock adjustment with a reason, so wastage shows in your reports instead of disappearing.
Supplier purchases
Record meat and flour purchases from your suppliers by weight. Track your cost price and compare it to your selling price.
Low-stock alerts
Set a minimum level for key items. You get an alert when stock falls below it so you can restock before you run out.
Receipt printing
Print a receipt for every sale on a standard 80 mm or 58 mm thermal receipt printer.
Staff management
Each staff member has their own login. See who sold what, and set permissions so only managers can edit prices or issue refunds.
Questions about TechFusion for butcheries and bakeries.
How do weighing-scale barcodes work?
Your scale prints a barcode label with the item code and weight embedded. The cashier scans the label at the till and the system calculates the price automatically — no manual typing.
Can I sell some items by weight and others by piece?
Yes. Some items (mince, beef steak) are sold by the kilo using scale barcodes, while others (sausages, bread) are sold at a fixed price per piece. Both work on the same till.
How does the shift cash reconciliation work?
At the end of the shift, the cashier counts the cash and enters the total. The closing screen shows the expected amount from recorded sales next to it, so the manager can see any difference.
Can I track wastage?
Yes. Record spoiled or unsold items as a stock adjustment with a reason. The stock adjustment report shows what was written off and what it cost.
Can I manage a butchery and a bakery under one account?
Yes. Set them up as separate locations or separate product categories under one account. Each has its own stock, sales and reports.
