Discounts, order tax and shipping on a sale

Discount on one item

On the POS, tap the product name in the cart. In the window, set Discount type (Fixed or Percentage) and Discount amount, then close.

Discount on the whole bill

Click the pencil next to Discount in the totals bar, choose Fixed or Percentage, enter the amount and click Update.

Note: Whether you can give discounts depends on your role. Your admin may also set a maximum discount per user. If the pencil is missing, ask your admin.

Automatic discounts

Admins can set up discounts that apply automatically by product, brand, category or location for a period (for example a weekend sale) under Sell › Discounts.

Order tax

The Order Tax in the totals bar applies a tax rate to the whole sale. Click its pencil to change it for this sale. The default comes from Settings › Business Settings › Sale. Product-level taxes are set on each product.

Shipping

Click the pencil next to Shipping to add delivery charges and details (address, status). The charge is added to the total. See Shipments and deliveries.
