A variable product groups variations such as Fertilizer 10 kg / 25 kg / 50 kg or T-shirt S / M / L. Each variation has its own price, SKU and stock.
1. Create the variation template (once)
Go to Products › Variations › Add. Name it (e.g. "Size") and add the values (e.g. 10 kg, 25 kg, 50 kg). Save.
2. Create the product
- Products › Add Product, fill in name, unit, category and locations as usual.
- Set Product type to Variable.
- Choose your variation template (e.g. Size). A row appears for each value.
- For each row enter the SKU (or leave blank), purchase price, margin and selling price. Remove rows you don't sell.
- Save, then add opening stock for each variation.
On the POS, searching the product shows each variation separately, for example "Fertilizer – 25 kg".
Combo (bundle) products
Choose Product type: Combo to sell several products together as one item, such as a starter kit. Selling a combo reduces the stock of each item inside it.
